Sclerotherapy is a procedure used to reduce the appearance of unsightly spider veins. This minimally invasive treatment involved injecting a solution called Sotradecol to eliminate or reduce the appearance of these uncomplicated small veins. Typically, a series of sessions is needed (usually two or three spaced about a month apart), however some may see optimal improvement after just one treatment and may not need another session. Sclerotherapy permanently eliminates these unwanted veins, but that doesn’t prevent new veins from appearing.
Results can vary from person to person due to a number of factors such as skin tone, and vein severity.
