Belotero® is one of the lightest dermal fillers available, and it is ideal for someone who wants to reduce fine lines around the lips, corners of the mouth, and minor marionette lines (the lines from the corners of your mouth down toward your jawline)
While BELOTERO Dermal Filler is made of the same material (Hyaluronic Acid) as some other dermal fillers, BELOTERO Dermal filler has unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction. The versatility of the product makes it strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth) as well as more delicate areas such as vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above the lip line)
Belotero® is clinically proven to last up to 6 months or longer. Treatments can and should be repeated as needed.
After injection into the skin, Belotero® dermal filler instantly plumps the skin and smoothes facial wrinkles.
The procedure is very quick and easy. Prior to filler injections, a numbing cream is applied to the site. Some patients may experience mild swelling or bruising at the injection site that lasts anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Cold compresses can be applied post treatment to reduce any potential side-effects. Camouflage makeup may also be used. Most patients can return immediately to work and resume normal activities. We recommend that patients avoid aspirin, vitamin E supplements and alcohol for 5 days prior to any injectable procedure to minimize the risk of bruising. The doctor will discuss your medical history at your office visit to rule out any contraindications to this product.
Filler helps with restoring volume to areas, but sometimes additional treatment like Botox® or Dysport® may be needed to help soften some excess muscle contractions which result in the formation of lines. Treatments to help the epidermis and general skin health such as Dermasweeps, chemical peels, laser resurfacing and a customized topical regimen will help accentuate the injectable treatment. The combination of multiple skin therapies can effectively treat a wide array of signs of aging.
